A Reading/Listening List to Help You Thrive in Sobriety

Living your best sober life is about so much more than removing alcohol and drugs. It’s about freeing your mind and soul.

It’s about retelling your old stories, rewiring your beliefs to support your higher self, and EXPERIENCING LIFE!

What is Quit Lit ?

There is a genre of books referred to as "quit lit.” These memoirs tell the story of the author's past relationship with alcohol, how she quit, and how it has transformed her life.

An author can use words to convey thoughts and feelings in a way that brings clarity to your own experience.

The Best Quit Lit That Exists (in my opinion)

Drinking- A Love Story by Caroline Knapp

This was the book that I came across randomly at the downtown library (or was I guided?) when I was in my first few months of sobriety back in 2018. I didn’t know such a book existed; I wasn’t looking for anything about sobriety. The writing is exquisite. It was my first experience of feeling understood in regard to my relationship with alcohol.
